Quiet week at markets

IT has been a fairly quiet week at Lerwick fishmarkets, with prices high at the beginning of the week and falling slightly towards the end. This was because there were large landings at Peterhead and much of the trade was done there.

The strong westerly wind has meant a week of poor weather in the west of Shetland with fewer landings in Scalloway.

Three Shetland pelagic boats landed in Norway on Wednesday and one landed there yesterday. Another landed in Peterhead on Wednesday, and various boats from outwith Shetland have landed at Shetland Catch.
