Gifford finishes top as radio cars finish winter racing session

THE FINAL round of the radio model car winter championship was held on Saturday at the Gilbertson Park games hall.

Touring car, 19-turn (qualifying): 1 Steven Gifford; 2 Jonathan Goodlad; 3 Liam Gibson; 4 Jonathan Gifford; 5 Erik Stove; 6 Scott Adamson; 7 Erland Isbister; 8 Malcolm Polson; 9 Alan Williamson; 10 Scott Polson; 11 Conor Mainland; 12 Frankie Sandison.

C final: 1 Frankie Sandison (17 laps); 2 Alan WIlliamson (11); 3 Conor Mainland (8); 4 Scott Polson (5).

B final: 1 Erik Stove (19 laps); 2 Erland Isbister (16); 3 Malcolm Polson (15); 4 Scott Adamson (did not start).

A final: 1 Steven Gifford (22); 2 Jonathan Goodlad (20); 3 Jonathan Gifford (19); 4 Liam Gibson (19).

A spokesman said he would like to thank everybody for taking part and looked forward to seeing them after the holidays for the next championship.

Everybody is welcome to come along and watch or even have a go. Races take place at the Gilbertson Park games hall on Saturdays from 5pm till 8pm.
