Moderate traffic

Harbour traffic has been fairly moderate in the past seven days, with the first visit of a new Norwegian fisheries research vessel the most notable arrival.

The 78-metre G O Sars arrived from the deep sea to load fish last Thursday, before departing again on Saturday morning. Another brand new Norsk vessel, the supply boat Aries Warrior, also appeared in Lerwick Harbour for the first time.

The 124-metre, Marshall Island-registered diving support vessel Orelia, which is nearing the end of a job, was in last Thursday and then again on Tuesday.

A smattering of local fishing boats came in, with pelagic trawler the Antarctic II coming in on Wednesday having finished for the current season, while the Adenia was in at Holmsgarth briefly before heading up to Whalsay on Wednesday.
