Trondra boys race well

Brothers Calvin and Bradley Sharp from Trondra travelled down to Ardersier Moto Park near Nairn for round three of the Scottish Youth Motocross Championship at the weekend.

With 170 riders competing from all over Scotland, England and Ireland and temperatures approaching 30 degrees it was set to be a great weekend’s racing.

Ardersier Motocross Park is a deep, sandy, hilly track with 18 jumps per lap. It was going to be a true test for any rider as it is also used for the adult championships.

Both riders had timed qualification plus five races over the weekend.

Calvin finished 10th overall in the small-wheeled 85cc class and Bradley was 10th overall in the 65cc class, a brilliant result considering the top riders in each class were competing from all over Britain.

The next round is near Duns on the Borders on 4th and 5th July. The boys said they would like to thank NorthLink and Wolfsport clothing for their continued support.
