Summer dates for darters

Shetland Darts Association has announced the fixtures for the Sum­mer Cups, which all have an 8pm start.

The first three competitions are on Friday, 19th June, beginning with the Westside Cup in the Lerwick Legion. The competition is open to premier teams, four players, with one team game of 1,501, two doubles of 1,001 and four singles matches of 701, bull up each leg.

The Legion Trophy for division one teams will be played for in the Scalloway Legion: four-man teams, four singles best of five 701; team game best of 1,000 if required, bull-up each game, winner of bull stats first, third and fifth legs.

Also in the Lerwick Legion is the Excelsior Shield for division two teams: four-man teams, best of seven legs of 1,001 team games, teams can be changed after each leg, bull-up each leg.

Another three matches are scheduled for Friday, 26th June, beginning with the Shetland Sea­foods Cup for premier division teams in the Lerwick Legion: four-man teams, two doubles, four singles, team game if required, cricket each game (two innings of 11 wickets).

The Masonic Social Club will stage the Masonic Trophy for division one teams: four-man teams, two doubles, four singles, team game if required, cricket each game (two innings of nine wickets).

Finally the Gypsyaires Shield for division two teams will be played for in the Douglas Arms: four-man teams, two doubles, four singles and team game if required, cricket (each game two innings of seven wickets).

Not all players have to be registered to the same team, so if any teams are stuck for players they can use those signed to other teams in the same division.
