Police have announced that missing West Side man Oliver Tait has been found safe and well.

Mr Tait, 38, from East Burrafirth, was reported missing on Saturday, but following an extensive police appeal for witnesses to come forward with information on sightings of him he was traced, and found by police at an address in Lerwick.

The police said they were grateful for the level of information received and support provided by the local community, which contributed to a satisfactory outcome of the inquiry.
