An American gospel quartet is to play a show in Shetland early next year as part of their European tour.

Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, who have won Gospel Music Association Dove Awards for their 2008 album Get Away Jordan, will be performing in the main hall at Clickimin Centre on Wednesday 9th February.

The group are described as “combining 21st century ideas with the timeless quality of great quartets from the 1950s” and taking an “unconventional approach to communicating the Good News with groundbreaking originality”.

Ernie Haase, a long-time member of the Cathedral Quartet, founded the group seven years ago when he gathered a group of “like-minded men who share his love for God, great harmonies, time-honoured songs and energetic performances”, according to the band’s promotional literature.

• Tickets are on sale now from the Shetland Box Office priced £12 for adults and £10 for children and concessions, with doors opening on the night at 7.30pm. You can get more information on the band by visiting the concert website at www.ehss-shetland.com.
