A man appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court today charged with carrying out sex offences.
Michael Polson, 49, whose address was given as care of defence agent Tommy Allan’s office, appeared on a petition alleging charges of a sexual nature.
He made no plea or declaration when he appeared before Sheriff Graeme Napier.
He was committed for further examination and released on bail.
The town centre was a hive of activity this afternoon with Living Lerwick’s street parade the centre of attraction.
