Foul weather delays tonight’s NorthLink sailing from Aberdeen

High winds and heavy seas off Aberdeen are expected to delay tonight’s NorthLink ferry to Shetland via Orkney.

The Hjaltland is now scheduled to leave Aberdeen at midnight, arriving at Kirkwall at 8.30am on Wednesday and Lerwick at 2pm.

A NorthLink spokeswoman said the delay was subject to change, however, and passengers were all being asked to board as normal tonight.
