A woman from the Liverpool area appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court today in connection with the seizure of heroin by Shetland police on Friday valued at £7,840.
Lila Bernadette Cartwright, 47, of Birkenhead, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. She is expected to appear again next week.
The town centre was a hive of activity this afternoon with Living Lerwick’s street parade the centre of attraction.
