Singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni has been confirmed as the support for Mumford & Sons on their sell-out tour of the Highlands and Islands.

Her first meeting with Mumford & Sons took place at the Loopallu Festival (Ullapool) in September 2009 where in the small hours of the morning they ended up sharing songs on the village beach while last year her track My Friend Fire was recorded and produced by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons and earlier this month Rachel was invited to support the band again at their NME awards show in London.

The Shetland gig will take place in the Whiteness and Weisdale Hall next Wednesday. Last week the band apologised for not playing at a bigger venue and promised to return to the isles.
