Scalloway hall trustee accused of embezzling money

A woman has been accused of embezzling over £8,000 while acting as a trustee of Scalloway Public Hall.

Sandra Reynolds, 55, of Berry Road in Scalloway, is charged at Lerwick Sheriff Court with embezzling £8,268.37 between April 2009 and January last year.

The money is said to have been taken from the village hall as well as the SIC, the Bank of Scotland, J W Gray’s, Hughson Brothers, Hydro Electric and TL Dallas.

Her case has been continued without plea at Wednesday’s court. It will call again on 15th June.
