Firth man in court charged with assaults at Brae Hall

A young man appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court today charged with two assaults at the Brae Hall on Sunday and vandalising a car.

The case against Mark Graeme Smith, 22, of Leaside, Firth, was continued without plea and he was released on bail until 24th August.

He is accused of punching a man, causing him to fall to the ground then repeatedly punching him on the head. He allegedly headbutted another man and tried to punch him and is also accused of punching a car bonnet.
