Northern Constabulary’s new area commander for Shetland has been named as chief inspector Angus Macinnes.

Mr Macinnes will take over from David Bushell, who has now stepped down from his role in the isles to take up a post in Fort William, at the end of September.

The new area commander has been in Shetland before. He was here as an inspector for a six month period around two years ago.

Inspector Eddie Graham will become acting chief inspector until the new boss arrives.
