Pair in court accused of stealing from Lerwick shops

Two men accused of stealing goods from shops in Lerwick were released on bail at the town’s sheriff court today.

Darren Lawson, 37, of Mill Lane, Lerwick, is charged with stealing a TV from Tesco last Wednesday.

Together with Calum Jamieson, 28, of St Olaf Street, Lerwick, he is also charged with stealing three bottles of perfume from Laing’s Chemists in Commercial Street on Friday.

Also on Friday Jamieson is accused of having cannabis in his possession at Lerwick Police Station.

Their cases were continued without plea until 22nd February.
