Ness cannabis grower released on bail

A man appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court today charged with growing cannabis plants.

Richard Ball, 26, of Dalsetter Wynd in Dunrossness, admitted producing the class B drug on 11th June when he apppeared before Sheriff John Rafferty.

Sentence was deferred until 11th July for background reports to be compiled. Ball was released on bail in the meantime.

His appearance came after police seized cannabis worth approximately £10,000 following a search at a Dunrossness address.
