A man has appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with rape.
Liam Polden, 21, of Forfar, appeared from custody on a petition alleging the offence on Tuesday.
He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination before being released on bail.
• On 13th August 2013, Liam Polden was found not guilty in respect of two charges. The court assoilzied the accused and dismissed him from the bar.
