Last night’s hockey battle of the isles saw Burra beat Whalsay 3-0 in the final of the Lizzie Polson Shield knockout competition, adding to the Grutness Trophy they won last week after a play-off against Whalsay.

Two goals from Josie Jamieson  and Kayti Jeromson in the first half gave Burra a comfortable lead and Kristan Robertson increased the margin when she scored Burra’s third in the second half.
