Happy Mondays adjust second gig date

The Happy Mondays are to move their second gig at Mareel from Sunday 16th to Friday 14th December for logistical reasons.

There will now be an after show set from DJ Graeme Park on the Friday as well as support from local band the Revellers. Happy Mondays support act John Wean will also play.

Shetland Arts and promoter Klub Revolution said tickets for the Sunday 16th gig would now be valid for the Friday.

A spokeswoman said: “The shift in date has been for logistical reasons for the Happy Mondays UK tour of which the two Shetland gigs are the only Scotland dates.

“The Saturday 15th December show sold out in just a couple of days earlier this month and keen interest has been expressed from across the UK in the additional date.”
