Candidates needed to stand for community councils

Candidates are being sought for community council by-elections in five different areas of the isles.

The vacancies are on Delting Community Council (Mossbank, Firth and Toft ward); Delting Community Council (Voe ward); Dunrossness Community Council (Levenwick ward); Bressay Community Council; and Sandwick Community Council.

Nomination packs and further information can be sought from the relevant community council clerk or by contacting Rachel Macleod at the Shetland Islands Council committee services on (01595) 744553.

The closing date for nominations is 4pm on Tuesday.
