Isles triathlete Lynsey Henderson is now rated the number one senior woman in Scotland and is second in the overall rankings.

Her Shetland Triathlon Club team mate Pete Fenwick is third in the senior men’s category and ninth overall in Scotland.

The Triathlon Scotland rankings are based on taking part in standard distance events in Scotland in the race season. Points are awarded for each race based on the time and position achieved in the race. The points are added up over the season, and then a ranking list for competitors throughout the country is produced.

The other age categories are: junior (under 20); senior( 21-39 years); veteran (40-49); super veteran (50-59); and vintage (60-69).

Other Shetland men are: Bonar Barclay was 35th senior and 71st overall; Mark Georgeson (53rd senior and 108th overall); Ewan Stirling (60th senior and 143th overall).
