Bad forecast threatens to disrupt ferry sailings

Serco NorthLink Ferries has advised customers that services may be disrupted over the next few days due to a bad weather forecast.

The company said there was the probability of south-easterly gales with high seas from Wednesday through to Christmas Eve. There was a strong possibility of disruption to the scheduled services over the period with amended or cancelled sailings, a spokesman said.

“The situation will be closely monitored and further updates will be available from 10am on a daily basis. We will contact affected customers by SMS message or telephone as soon as possible after schedules are confirmed.”
