Strachan and Harper in 12-strong swimming squad for Bermuda island games

The Shetland swimming team for this summer’s NatWest Island Games in Bermuda, comprising six men and six women, has been selected.

The squad includes all three medallists from the last games at the Isle of Wight in 2011 – quadruple gold winner Andrea Strachan, Amy Harper, who picked up a gold, two silvers and two bronzes, and bronze winner Felix Gifford.

The six men are Gifford, Gregor Moore, Calum MacColl, Callum MacGregor, Donnie Price and Jake Swanson, while Strachan and Harper are joined by the youthful Kate Jones, Megan Petursdottir and twins Anne and Emmie Hutchison in the women’s squad.
