The accommodation barge Bibby Stockholm arrived in Shetland on Tuesday morning.

The barge, also known as a flotel or a coastel, will be home to workers employed Shetland Gas Plant and it is on charter to its principal contractor Petrofac for the rest of the year.

Lerwick Harbour boats Knab and Kebister together with Danish tug Bamse Tug manoeuvred the coastel to her berth at Morrison Dock. The Bamse Tug had towed the coastel from Gdansk via Copenhagen.

Recently refurbished, the Bibby Stockholm has 213 en-suite bedrooms, a gym, games room and brand new kitchen and restaurant.
