Would that be Mr Carmichael of the Liberal Democrat Party that promised to abolish the office of Secretary of State for Scotland – before they got elected?

I think it just very is.

Mmmh, yet another new Governor General at the last Colonial Office!
Is this fellow a radical Liberal with ambitions for a new Federal Scotland where all forms of taxes raised in Scotland are administered in Scotland?
Does he recognise the ever widening disparity in wealth which is crippling our nation?
Does he possess the abilities, aspirations and intellect of Alex Salmond or any other members of the Scottish Government Cabinet Secretaries?
Nope, it’s our M.P., the same Alistair Carmichael who was the whipper inner on behalf of the Westminster Tories to ensure his Liberal colleagues voted for the austerity cuts, the Bedroom tax, the Welfare cuts, possible illegal and imperialist military action in Syria and the list goes on and on?
I wouldn’t give much for his chances were there to be a U.K. election next month let alone in a debate with Alex Salmond.
Mind you there will always be the soft, comfortable seat reserved beside James Wallace, (Lord Tankerness) in that cosy, ermine festooned non-democratic, institution, the House of Lords’, as a reward for plummeting to such depths of hypocrisy by accepting a position he previously regarded as being superfluous.
Little wonder the Liberal Democrats might now (and justifiably), be trailing the Green Party in Scottish politics.

Hope you can live with your concience! I know I couldn’t! That’s not what I voted you into that position to do. You were meant to be in opposition and stop those people running roughshod over us! Back to the drawing board then! Ho Hum! On the bright side, It’s less than a year and you’ll be “doon the brew” along with the other 47!
