Accused of intending to steal

A teenager has been accused of twice intending to steal from properties in Lerwick at the weekend.

Mark Rushby, 17, of the town’s Haldane Burgess Crescent is charged with being found in the curtilage of addresses in Gremmasgaet and North Road on Sunday, whereby he may have intended to steal.

The allegations are that Rushby committed the offences while on bail.

Rushby’s case was continued without plea until Thursday when he appeared before sheriff Philip Mann. He was released on bail until then.
