Custody for man accused of intending to steal

A man alleged to have been intending to steal from an address in Yell has been remanded in custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court.

Jason Pottinger, 26, of Meadowbank Road in Burravoe is accused of being in the area of a house without lawful authority on Sunday.

His case before honorary sheriff Arnold Duncan was continued without plea when he appeared today from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court.

An application for bail was refused. Pottinger will appear again in court on 16th April.
