The Revellers take party to Edinburgh

Shetland folk-rock favourites The Revellers have bagged a place at this year’s Meadows Festival in Edinburgh.

The band were shortlisted along with 15 other acts but secured the second spot following a public online vote.

As a thank you to all the support they received in the run-up to the festival, the band have organised a trip down to the capital, with up to 40 seats on a coach, leaving Friday 6th June and returning on 9th June.

Bass player Adam Priest said they are also trying to arrange a Saturday night gig to play following their afternoon set in Edinburgh.

“We’re really looking forward to the gig at the Meadows Festival, there could be more than 2,500 people attending the Saturday if past attendances are anything to go by,” said Priest.

“Our slot is likely to be mid-afternoon on Saturday 7th June, so we are trying to secure an additional evening gig while we are in Edinburgh. We hope to announce something soon.”

More information can be found on the band’s Facebook page.
