Conochies clinches top retailing prize
Conochies on Lerwick’s Commercial Street has been recognised as one of the best greeting card retailers in the UK.
The shop was picked out at this year’s greeting card retailing awards – effectionately known as the Retas – when it won the prize for being the best card shop in Scotland.
The announcement was made at an awards event at London’s Dorchester Hotel, attended by almost 400 people.
Launched in 2005, the Retas awards recognise excellence across the whole greeting cards retailing spectrum, from independents on the high streets, to the mini chains, garden centres, department stores and supermarkets as well as art and framing shops.
