Crewman injured on Braveheart

, by , in News

A crewman on the Yell scallop boat Braveheart was taken to hospital yesterday after he was struck and injured when the vessel was hauling her gear.

Braveheart contacted the rescue service when she was just south of Baltasound, according to a coastguard spokesman, but in view of the vessel’s position the best course of action was to land the crewman at the pier where he was picked up by ambulance and taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
