Accused ordered to leave the isles

A Glasgow man has been ordered to leave Shetland following an appearance from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court.

Lee Fitzpatrick, 26, of Glenacre Gardens in the city’s Castlemilk area has been accused of threatening violence and being verbally abusive onboard the accommodation ship <i>Gemini</i>, which is berthed in Scalloway, on Sunday.

He is also charged with making homophobic remarks on the following date.

His case was continued without plea until 1st April. Bail was granted, but with special conditions he leave Shetland and only return for court appearances.
