Monty’s Bistro is on the market

Monty’s Bistro has shut it doors and the business is up for sale.

Raymond Smith has run the restaurant for the last 19 years but the owner and chef is seeking a new challenge. All members of staff have moved on to jobs elsewhere.

Mr Smith said: “I think after 19 years of doing this … you can’t do this forever. It’s not an easy business – it’s not a nine to five job. I think my feeling is it’s the right time to do it.”

The two-storey, stone built property is for sale but all equipment, furniture and plates are available separately.
It is on the market for offers over £110,000.
