Jewellery stolen from display cabinet

Jewellery and watches have been stolen from a display cabinet in the Toll Clock Shopping Centre following an overnight break-in.

Thieves forced their way into the centre in Lerwick between 9pm on Thursday and 8.30am on Friday, police believe.

Staff arrived to work to discover the damage and the the theft. The items taken were from a display cabinet in the foyer, according to temporary chief inspector Lindsay Tulloch.

Police are investigating and ask that anyone with information, or who was in the area last night and saw or heard anything suspicions should contact Lerwick police station on 101.
