A man was arrested early this morning after police received reports of a man shooting an air rifle in a garden.
Officers in Lerwick were called to alert them the incident outside a house in Mossbank.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at the address and was taken into police custody. The man had “relinquished possession of the air weapon” before police arrived at the scene.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in Lerwick.
The council are asking for the public to come forward with their views for the second phase of the consultation on a new community council scheme.
