There were three minor traffic accidents on Isles roads last night and this morning.

According to Police Scotland a man was taken to hospital by ambulance after his car left the road in Quarff and ended up in a field around 8.30pm last night. He was taken to the Gilbert Bain to be checked over but found to have only minor injuries.

Police received a report of a car involved in a single vehicle collision on the unclassified road at Collafirth at 10.24 this morning. The driver arranged his own vehicle recovery.

One carriageway of the A968 main road in Yell was temporarily blocked when a car turned on its side near Mid Yell around 11am this morning. No one was hurt and the road cleared shortly after.
