Althing debate to tackle charitable trust cuts

It is likely to be a heated debate at the first Althing session of the new year as talk focuses on the controversy surrounding the charitable trust’s budget cuts.

And in a bid to try to attract more people to the debate it will not be in its traditional Tingwall location but instead at the Staney Hill Hall in Lerwick.

Promoting the motion that “charitable trust cuts are not charitable” will be Ian Tinkler and Johan Adamson. Defending the trust will be two of its trustees Jonathan Wills and Jeemie Smith.
