Three charged with drugs offences

Three people appeared in court in connection with drugs charges on Monday after arrests were made at the NorthLink ferry terminal on Friday.

Alexander Hart, 23, of Aberdeen, and Peter Lovie, 22, and Claire Huntingdon, 30, both of Mossbank, appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court for offences alleged under the misuse of drugs act.

Lovie and Huntingdon were also charged with possession of a knife. The trio, appearing separately, made no plea or declaration and were committed for further examination and released on bail.
