Heroin accused are bailed

Two people have been released on bail after appearing at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with the supply of heroin.

James Gray, 49, of Grostane, is accused of being concerned in the supply of heroin to three others over a two-year period between 1st January 2014 and 3rd February this year. He is also charged with possessing the class C substance diazepam at his home address on 14th February.

Gray appeared from custody and was granted bail and the case was continued without plea until 2nd March.

Meanwhile, Nicola McLennan, whose address was given as a guest house in Lerwick’s King Harald Street, also had her case continued without plea after being accused of supplying heroin at an address in Lerwick on Saturday.

McLennan appeared from custody and was bailed until a court appearance on 2nd March.
