Accolade for Scalloway Hotel’s Peter and Caroline

The Scalloway Hotel has picked up a major accolade at the 2016 Scottish Hotel Awards.

Owners Peter and Caroline Mckenzie were last night named independent hoteliers of the year at the prestigious event in Edinburgh.

Also awarded in the same category were the owners of the Pierhouse Hotel in Argyll.

Over 400 people attended the much anticipated do at the city’s Sheraton Grand Hotel to celebrate the accomplishments of Scotland’s best hotels and hospitality professionals.

This year’s winners were selected after a twelve-month research process. They were said to be a “true reflection” of Scotland’s thriving hospitality industry.

Congratulations to Peter and Caroline for receiving such an award. You are both prime examples of hard work, dedication, commitment and where it pays to have a positive vision.

What a thoroughly well deserved award. Your mantra has always been quality, quality, quality and you have consistently reinvested in the hotel. You have also both worked extremely hard.
This should be an inspiration to other Shetland businesses.
