Squads chosen for weekend’s junior inter-county

The Shetland squad for the junior inter-county competition against Orkney, which takes place this weekend in Kirkwall, has now been finalised.

The youngsters head off on the boat on Friday night to take part in the five individual events – athletics, football, hockey, netball and swimming.

The overall team, which lost out at home last year, will be captained jointly by athletes Claire Johnston and Sophie Moar.

Once again the squad is sponsored by Hay & Company Buildbase.
