Ferry service reduced

Ferry services on Yell Sound are being cut to a single vessel operation today following a technical fault this morning on the Daggri.

Shetland Islands Council says the problem requires a replacement part to be sourced from the Scottish mainland.

Ferry services on this route will continue to run using the Daglien, which will be operating to the shift vessel timetable. Prior bookings have been cancelled and vehicles travelling should park in lane order for the next available sailing.

The council says engineers are working to resolve this fault as soon as possible. It has apologised for any inconvenience to passengers.
