Three fire engines were called out to a home in North Road, Lerwick, in the early hours of this morning.
An elderly woman living in the house next door had to be evacuated. No-one was hurt.
The call to the fire service came at 12.25am. The incident was under control by 2.30am and the last fire engine left at 5am.
Emergency services are attending the scene of a pylon which caught fire this morning near the A970.
