Ness United B are this season’s senior reserve league champions, after defeating Delting B 4-1on Saturday.

Both teams had finished level at the top of the Mind Your Head Reserve League, and a play-off was necessary.

The match was played at the new Bressay sports field as the Lerwick pitches are now closed for the season.

Kevin Manson opened the scoring for Ness, followed by a double by Ian Bray and the fourth by Shaun Smith. Delting’s reply came when Michael Farmer put through his own goal for Ness.

The victory completed a season double for the Ness reserve string, as they had won the Hytork UK Joint Cup knockout competition earlier this month.
