Lead theft investigated

Police are investigating the theft of lead from a yard in the Staney Hill industrial estate.

The slated lead cuttings, worth a few hundred pounds, are thought to have been removed sometime between 30th of August and 21st September. The theft was reported to police on Monday.

Police are asking for any information about the theft and are studying CCTV recordings of the area.

Officers are also investigating damage caused to a van parked in Anderson Road in Lerwick, overnight between Friday and Saturday.
