Gemini prepares to leave Scalloway

She has been a familiar sight in Scalloway for over a year, but the Gemini is today sailing off into the distance.

The cruise ship has provided accommodation for oil and gas industry workers since her arrival in October last year.

But now the vessel is heading to a ship yard in Turkey for a refit.

Helping her set off this morning were the Lerwick Harbour-based Kebister and Knab.

They had to be chartered for the job because the Sullom tugs were working with tankers up north.
