The Shetland women’s hockey team heads to Aberdeen this weekend to play against Kinross Ladies in the last 16 of the Scottish District Cup.

Saturday’s indoor hockey league saw plenty of goals and wins for Reckless, New Revolution and Deltmavine and an incredible 9-9 draw between Zetland and New Revolution.

Reckless, Frankies Saturday Night Takeaway and LBC New Revolution all progressed to the semi-finals of indoor hockey’s George Robertson Knockout Cup. In the super league Filsket and Frankies battled out a 4-4 draw although the latter had already been awarded the points.

There were goals galore in the latest round of indoor hockey matches with LBC New Revolution clinching the league and also wins for Frankies Saturday Night Takeaway and Deltmavine.

The latest indoor hockey matches saw a convincing win for Reckless, along with victories for Hurricanes and Zetland.

New Revolution maintained their 100 per cent record with a narrow win over second placed Frankies in the indoor hockey league.

New Revolution appear to be the team to beat in the indoor hockey league after picking up back-to-back wins against Filsket and Reckless. Deltmavine and Filsket also picked up victories in the weekend matches.

Reckless were involved in both indoor hockey matches played at the weekend, drawing with Filsket and losing narrowly against Frankies. In the other scheduled matches Frankies and Filsket got the points as Hurricanes were unable to field a team.

The first games of the Indoor Hockey Super League were played on bonfire night with plenty of goals. Unfortunatly Deltmavine couldn’t make it a full night of fixtures.

Whalsay’s senior hockey team enjoyed a double success over the past week, securing the Grutness Shield despite losing their last game and also winning the Town Hall Sevens Shield.
