A group of Shetland swimmers took part in the six-day British Gas Scottish Open Championships last week, with the highlight being Felix Gifford of Delting Dolphins winning the junior 100 metres freestyle.

Swimmers in Glasgow for championships

Several of Shetland’s top swimmers were at the Tollcross Leisure Centre in Glasgow this week for the Scottish National Open Swimming Champ­ion­ships.

The strong field included double Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington. This year’s event is also the Scottish trials for the Common­wealth Games in Delhi in October.
