THE CLAN Appeal is launching its grand raffle this weekend where the main prizes are a Toyota Yaris sponsored by Jim’s Garage, a return trip on a NorthLink ferry for a family to Aberdeen and a return trip by air to a major Scottish airport with Loganair/Flybe.
Other prizes will be revealed on next year’s Lerwick Up-Helly-A’ day by Guizer Jarl Stephen Mouat who will be drawing the tickets and announcing the winners.
The raffle tickets will be placed in 55 shops and post offices throughout Shetland.
The CLAN raffle co-ordinator is Iris Anderson, who can be contacted on (01806) 566379 for further information. Anyone organising events as part of the CLAN 1,2,3 Campaign can contact Iris for raffle tickets to support the campaign.
Chairwoman Elaine Jamieson said she hoped the raffle would be popular with islanders, and she was really pleased that, with the support of local businesses, the committee had managed to secure such fantastic prizes for a local raffle.
A spokesman said the Shetland CLAN House Appeal committee would like to thank all the sponsors for donating prizes for the raffle.
