Sunday coaching for squash followers

SCOTTISH Squash is running a coaching workshop at Clickimin on Sunday, following on from a coaching Level 1 certificate course the previous day.

The workshop will be led by Gerry Towler, assisted by Claire Kidd and Simon Boughton, and will go through the four basic strokes, including variations and appropriate execution and targets for each.

The workshop will provide resources and handouts in order for coaches to have a consistent “take home” message to apply to their own squads, as well as reference points for players.

The event is open to both coaches and players and is particularly well suited to those who wish to find out the most up-to-date messages for coaching and playing.

The cost of attending the workshop is £8 for a competitive player or member of Scottish Squash. Tickets for other members of Scottish Squash or full-time students are £13 and for non-members of Scottish Squash the tickets are £18.50. (This includes free club/player membership to Scottish Squash.) Places for the workshop need to be booked in advance and may not be available on the day. Registration forms need to be in by noon today. For more information call 0131 317 7343 or email info@scottishsquash.org
