A SECOND man, aged 44, will be reported to the procurator fiscal in Lerwick following the deaths of baby seals on a small island off Whalsay.
A 47-year-old man, named locally as Jimmy Stewart, has already been reported in connection with the deaths of 18 grey seal pups on the remote island of East Linga, three miles to the east of Whalsay. He is due to appear in court next Wednesday.
The town centre was a hive of activity this afternoon with Living Lerwick’s street parade the centre of attraction.
